When and How to Change Shipping Address

My sport watch is scheduled to be delivered, and I need to change the address it's shipping to because I'll be at work. How is this done? Do I have to wait until I have the shipping date confirmed?

Change it now.

I asked apple support about the same thing. They said you can change the address any time while the order is open. You cannot when it enters preparing for shipping.
