I currently live in China. I have a few apps I've bought from my icloud account (in the China store, to allow me to buy icloud storage with my wages here)... but the majority of apps i use are on my old itunes account from the UK. I also use apple music so i have no desire to log out of my UK itunes account on my phone.

I currently use a spare iphone 4S logged into the chinese store to let me download updates and transfer them to itunes and sync onto my other devices. app thinning will break this, i think?

will there be a way to turn it off? can anyone thing of another workaround short of periodically logging out and in again on itunes (store swapping)
