Well T3 only runs at about 45Mbps. I don't think there is such thing as 2Gbps speed in anything. It's all theoretical. My wireless at my house is 36Mbps which is fiber optic. I don't think we will see that any time soon on a phone.

If a company provided such a product, I would buy it. Be it Apple, Google, or otherwise.

Whatever speeds become available OTA, you can be sure that the U.S. will be the last non-third world country to offer it. You will see it in Japan and Europe long before we will.

None of those requires more than 5Mb/s, which is currently available to some...

Considering T3 hard lines aren't even readily available to the public at this point it's going to be a LONG time before you see those mobile speeds.

1. The wired bandwidth to our houses is nowhere near this fast yet, so it's not going to happen over the air any time soon.

2. Nothing close to 2GB/s is necessary for any of the things you are talking about. A reliable 5-10MB/s connection would do just fine for most things.

Who needs "T3 speeds" anyway if the content providers can't/won't handle it? What's more important IMO is reducing the latency, which is something that 3.9G/4G technologies aim to do.
