Does anyone know when we can see a hands-on review of iPhone 4? In other words, will Apple send the phone to Mossberg or others for them to review prior to the 24th?

I ask because I want to know if I should order some accessories, ie: a bumper or a bodyguards film?

There's a BUNCH on youtube already...
just search for...

iphone 4 hands on
or
hands on iphone 4

Edit: these are from WWDC...but atleast you can see people actually using it. (These are making me reconsider the white one again.)

Apple is very secretive about their products. Since they know this will sell like hotcakes, you might have to wait until very close to launch dates. But, then it will be too late to pre-order.

I saw some but I haven't really seen anyone comment on how scratch resistant and sturdy the phone is. I don't expect anyone to take a key to the phone or drop it, but it's nice to know.

I'm sure that the usual suspects already have their iPhone 4's but Walt's review doesn't usually get published until release day.

In the past, Apple has sent the iPhone to Mossberg, among others like USA Today, and NYTimes, so that the review could come out a few days before the phone did. I believe the date they are allowed to publish the reviews is determined by Apple though.

I did a search and it seemed like the reviews for the 3G came out on July 9, and the phone was released July 11.

I really liked this pic. It shows the difference between the 3GS and 4.
This will be a huge jump for me from the 3G.

All I care about is hearing about the phone reception in the NY/NJ area with the new antenna. If the reception still sucks in the NY/NJ area, time for me to leave AT&T. I can keep my iPhone 3G as an iPod Touch. The dropped calls is getting seriously annoying. I love all the new things iPhone 4 has, looks like a beautiful phone, but if the phone part sucks, what's the point ?

i want to see a review where someone actually drops it on asphalt or concrete and demos what happens to the screen. i've seen the gorilla glass videos on youtube, but i'd like to see it in actual action. and also seen the photo of the broken glass in that other thread, but the poster claimed it had no guts inside. that might make a difference to how the screen holds up.
