I started transferring all of my music to my new NAS as mentioned in my other thread earlier on today. It was on a normal hard disk before and in perfect order.

I've read on the internet that to move a library properly you should consolidate, and I believe this means that everything gets moved. Am I right?

I'm looking in the finder and I'm about 25% of the way through. Lots of the music is being transferred but some of it is not in the same place as it is on the current hard drive.

Will I wake up to find it all in the proper place or will it be a total mess, with songs missing and everything buggered up?

I cannot find an answer to this question anywhere on the web so would be most grateful if someone could help me calm down!
