Just ordered the 16" model and are eagerly waiting for it to arrive. Was just wondering, when we could expect third-party stuff like sleeves to match the new model's dimensions. For instance, I really live the ICON sleeve by Incase (the one with the magnetic locking system), but those are really precisely made for each Macbook model (so it won't fit with the new size 16").

Anybody here that has experience with the production time for these kind of accessories?

PS. Ordered the 2.3 ghz i9 with 32gb memory, 8GB 5500 videocard and 1TB storage =)

Usually they start showing up within a month. In this case, though, you should be able to use 15” sleeves from the OLD pre-late-2016 MBPs, depending on the maker.

I emailed Incase the other day to see if they had an estimate since I really like their textured hardshell case and this is the response I received:

"At this time we do not have any information on products for the 16". We are working quickly and diligently to get information but seeing as this information was just released two days ago it may take a while. I would recommend to sign up for our newsletter and/or follow us on social media for the most up to date information."

Hoping it's sooner than later because I feel more comfortable moving the laptop around when it has a case on it.

Pass-through charging docks, giving missing ports for these new machines,
should be a necessity for a lot of people...
