When deleting photos no space is freed up?

I recently upgraded from my iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5 and I love it!

Anyway, I have a problem.
When I delete videos or photos no space seems to be freed up?
Just deleted a movie of 5 minutes which should have been a couple of 100 MB and still no space is freed up? Is there a setting somewhere I should turn on/off?

Did you try rebooting to see if anything changed after it reset?

How did you look, via iTunes summary screen or on the phone itself? I ask because when my iPhone is plugged into iTunes, it doesn't recognize changes like that unless I eject the phone and plug it back in. The summary screen then shows the correct size of photos, etc., on the phone.

But to answer your question, there is no setting like the one you described.

You can go into settings, about, and look at free space there. If the photos are not large enough, you will not see a change unless it is 100mb or more. Are you talking about photos in camera roll? Otherwise you would just sync the phone again after deleting to see free space increased.
