When do Apple take payment from account ?

Evening.

Well I'm biting the bullet this evening & going to order the SG 6 Plus 64GB

I'm well & truly in the Apple 12 monthly cycle & this will be my annual upgrade since iPhone 3G days ! I've read enough on this forum to confirm that this S upgrade is a worthwhile solid one , & that's coming from using a 6 Plus for the last 12 months & totally loving it.

Anyway , as per usual I've forgotten when Apple actually take payment from your account. I'm anticipating the usual 3-4 weeks delivery on this model , so just trying to work out the finances.

When do Apple take the payment. Is it on the day they actually dispatch , so effectively in this case maybe 3 weeks after ordering.

Yes, they take the money around the time they do the final shipment.

From my experience, on iPhones just before they ship it. Unlike buying an iMac or laptop by phone from the AppleStore where they process your credit card right away, and that order date then also becomes your AppleCare date. ymmv

I've seen them bill you for apple care and charge your account , but charge for the phone when it ships
