When do new models hit the Refurb Lines?

I am probably a month or two out from purchasing an iMac. I am new to Mac and so I'm not familiar with all of their procedures. As a fan of refurb products in general, I would be open to considering a refurb of the new design if they become available in the next few months.

I know NO ONE knows for sure, but how soon do refurbs typically hit the apple store when new models come out ( I am referring to 2011 imac refurbs...)

I would say based on past history anywhere from 2 to 3 months.

They have a current gen MBP 13" there now. Great price too.

I have a friend who only buys refurbs and they've been great. In some cases they appear just days after the product is launched.

I've been told the reason for that is if they deliver to a company that unpacks them, then for some reason has too many and returns some, they get inspected and repacked as refurbs.

So I would check frequently.
