Considering there is not much historic data, as Apple does not do pre-orders often, it is tough to say.

The iPad started at 5:30AM PST. Who knows if it will be that early. If they do other hardware upgrades (like the Mac Pro) it may not be til 10:00AM PST.

Yeah, and as the title states, what time do pre orders usually begin...?

My post did not contain an attitude. I was saying that it has been discussed in various threads, and no one knows.

Pre-ordering has only happened twice. The iPhone has been out for four years now (technically three, but four phones), and each phone has had a different release time. Now that the phone has been moved to a Thursday release date, I think that everything is up in the air.
