Hi there themers.
I am trying to port Timothy Elliott's (SirTimothy1) Ultimatum OS X Lion DreamBoard theme for use without DreamBoard, for RAM sake. It involves extensive use of SpringJumps, FolderEnhancer, PageLock and FolderIcon but is definitely less RAM-consuming nevertheless
As a way to reproduce the original theme's partly scrolling dock I am using InfiniDock, and my issue comes from trying to cover up the left and right parts of the dock icons with an image layer so that scrolling through InfiniDock's pages will have them pass UNDERNEATH the said image.
I tried to set this effect theming Springboard icons near the dock using bigger sized png's (using SummerBoard's 'Icons' folder theming) so as to overlay the icons on both ends of the dock. Scrolling would have my icons from other pages in the dock to pass underneath.
Here's a screenshot of the work in progress.
Well I couldn't get this to work as only dock icons can overlay springboard icons, which is kind of logic, though this behavior is quite random as it depends on whether they are system icons thus skinned rather than Cydia's or AppStore's.
My issue is that I accidentally discovered such overlaying icons to work in the past, so I thought it might be a WinterBoard update issue, as I had tried switching off mobile substrate add-ons to no avail. Resprings and reboots didn't affect that aspect either.
Well downgrading to a pre-IOS 5 deb.file didn't bring any solution so I just tried to find another workaround.
I am now editing UIPageIndicator.png and such so as to reach my goal, as I found out it actually overlays every other image on SpringBoard, to the exception of the status bar's images perhaps. I'll post screenies of my port as I get on with it, now that this thread's started...
