Just curious when we might start seeing reviews of the new iMac on the Verge, c|net, WSJ, etc. Don't reviews normally come out right before the product goes on sale?

I wonder if maybe the major sites have gotten their hands on it already and have an embargo on releasing reviews till midnight?

Often selected media outlets receive units before release for review. This is what the OP is referring to.

This is Apple we're talking about.

Do they even need a review to sell a few thousand devices?

No. They don't care what reviewers say.

I would say.....

maybe Macworld Labs (MacWorld) will go out with a review in 7-10 days after release

:):apple:

probably 3:47 UK time, if last years anything to go by.

really though, i'd guess there will be a load of reviews coming this weekend :)

I believe the iPhone 5 reviews came out on Wednesday (night?) and presale was that Friday. So maybe we'll get some tonight?

Stop being pedantic, it's common for Engadget, allthingsD etc to get them early - regardless of 'need'
