This year. It's usually in March. It also happens to fall on Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras this year.
Anyway, I'm hoping for never, or failing that September. Only because people keep complaining about it. A lot.
As much as I'd love the 5th, I voted the 12th, though I think both the 12th and 19th are equally likely, I'm just really hoping it falls on the 12th.
I don't think they'll wait until march. Now I'm just hoping we get a magenetic latch and new keyboard (I know the keyboard is highly controverisal) along with all the other hardware upgrades

I agree. And the people who bought their MBPs in December while others were berating them for not waiting until January must be feeling pretty good right now. I know I would.
I will be buying a new MBP in late August. It would be nice if it were updated buy then but I'm buying one at that time no matter what.
Im investing in one May/June. Same thing, whatever way goes im gona get one then, UNLESS theres like a upgrade in July which i doubt it.

OH! i didnt realize Montevina was coming out so soon, well there's your answer right there as to why they arent updating it yet, they will just wait and do one giant step instead of bothering to update to penryn
thats my point, why would they update the harddrive and CPU options if they were planing on updating the whle machine in 2-3 months?
