When do YOU think the new iPhone will be available?

I would have to guess that they start shipping two weeks after the announcement.
 
I'm thinking a Friday, and they won't want to go on Friday the 13th. So it's between the 20th and 27th, and I plumped for the 20th mostly because of wishful thinking.
 
i think 29th because thats when the other launch was...

But im hoping 10th :)

O by the way... Its a HUGE poll :p
 
release date

i just talked to a woman at att and she said think june july time frame. So i really dont think they will put it out on mon. she wanted to sell it to me bad.
 
My friend who just started working at the apple store said that they have a ton of people scheduled for June 9th. This could mean that they will go on sale that Monday or it could mean absolutely nothing. But there is an abnormally large amount of people scheduled to work on Monday so cross your fingers.
 
I'm going to say unveiled on the 9th and available immediately. iPhones have been unavailable from the Apple store for what, a month now? I think Apple's got the new model ready to go and will to want to start selling it immediately.

Is this an anomalous event, or has his store done this before based on the other employees recollection?
 
It'll be different dates for different places - @OP - is this just for the U.S.?
 
I say the 16th. I know it won't be the 9th, and the 10th seems slim with the info we have know. Apple wouldn't release it on the 13th because it is bad luck. Yep. Monday the 16th sounds good to me.
 
Announcement June 9th (no release - can't imagine him saying "Oh and by the way it's out today"), out on June 10th along with a massive advertising blitz... I go in my lunch break, pick one up, and live happily ever after...
 
It's for the U.S., since it's the actual first country to launch it
 
I'd bet good money on June 10.

They've been out of stock of the older ones for weeks so it is unlikely that there will be any further delay.

Also, aside from the 10th being Tuesday - classic retail and Apple "lay down" day - it's the day after they are all but certainly going to be announced. It's very unlikely that you'll see them on the 9th as the logistics of getting them 'sell-able' isn't as easy as adding it to the menu. Stores will need to close, setup and prepare for the major line.

The release of major new OS upgrades even involved shutting down stores for a few hours to prepare for their availability. The iPhone will probably be no different. I vote Tuesday.
