When does the Back to School take into effect today?

Well, im in the UK, it is 4pm here (10am CST) and no sign of B2S on apple website. Anything in US?

10 am CST is 6pm UK time. Hopefully it'll be announced then but seeing as there were a few other false reports previously this year, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen today.

I don't think it's going to happen today. Based on original sources on Twitter(chronic & markgurman) the B2S promo has been slightly delayed. It was allegedly changed at the last moment. Just sharing with you what I have been following on twitter. I am eagerly awaiting fir B2S to start ASAP though I'm unhappy about reports Kai ing that Apple will be offering $100 iTunes/Mac App Store gift cards as opposed to an iPod touch with mail in rebate.

Don't you think we are jumping the gun? School just got out a week ago. It would make no sense to start this deal right now.

The back to school promotion typically started either the last or next to last week in May, so it's actually pretty late this year.
 
LOL at the incentive being an iTunes gift card and not an iPod Touch. As a college student who bought his MBP 2 months ago, this comes as a relief. I'd be peeved if I had held out for this promo. I have an infinity-dollar iTunes gift card.. in my brain.
