I want to buy Leopard, though would it ship in its latest incarnation, which is 10.5.5 I believe. E.g. if I bought it from Amazon would it just be 10.5 and I would have to to do a lot of updating, (not that I'm complaining).

Any thoughts?

cheers

apple does release updated versions of leopard in the retail discs. how you know you have one of the new retail discs or not, i dont know lol

however, chances are you will have to update it yourself

if you have to update, the combo updater does it all in one shot

probably not. my macbook pro which I got from APPLE had 10.5.1 on it when 10.5.3 or even 5.4 was out. just download the updates... leave it to download overnight or something is what i do.

You'd only have to update once no matter what version it is. 10.5.0 -> 10.5.5, skipping everything in between, for example. Not a big deal really.
