Has anyone else experienced this? It does like this stupid refresh and I am unable to do anything. Very annoying, happens even when I was just in it and toggled back to it using the switcher.

Wrong section.
Are you referring to iOS 6 or iOS 7?
iOS 6 has no true multitasking, so what you are experiencing is totally expected.

iOS 5.01, and what do you mean 6 has no multitasking?? They got rid of the switcher?

No, iOS 6 is the same as always. Apparently, iOS 7 handles multi-tasking in a different fashion than previous iOS versions. That's why you were asked about your version.

Oh ok. So why it only like this with Twitter? Is there any way to improve it?

Stock Twitter app or 3rd party (Echofon, etc.)? I don't use the stock app.

My guess is that each time you reopen the app, it looks for updated tweets, hence the lag time. Not sure if there's any option for change.

Multitasking in iOS 6 is the same as iOS 7's, expect 7 learns what apps you use most frequently and updates them based on when you use the app. Other than that, they're exactly the same.

To answer the OP's question: I think it's because the app is still being sent to the "suspended" state, so when you open it again, you're interrupting it. I'm probably wrong though :p

His iOS version doesn't matter, iOS 6 and 7 multitask pretty much the same except as how I described it above.

What's wrong with the stock twitter app?

I could go on and on but:

Instagram cards in timeline, and cards for basically everything.
Mute feature.
Lists as the main timeline.
Easy to manage multiple accounts.
Tweet streaming.
Better gestures.
No ads.

There is a lot more, but you really do get what you pay for with Tweetbot.
