Hi, i have a very very odd and annoying problem. Anytime on ML 10.8 i tell any program to open a file (safari, chrome, word, etc...doesn't matter which program, its the same for everything) a finder window opens up, but its scrolled to the side. I am going to attach a picture or link to show what i'm talking about. its very annoying becasue every single time i want to open a file i have to scroll back to the left and up.

when i open finder normally though this issue is not there.

I think it is because of preferences somewhere, think they are automatically set.

You could try the following.

Go to ~/Home/Library/Preferences, locate the com.apple.finder.plist file, drag it to the desktop and relaunch Finder.

To relaunch Finder you can do so by clicking on the Finder Icon in the Dock or open Activity Monitor and quit Finder there.

All your Finder Preferences are reset!!!!

If this did not help you can drag the file back into the preferences folder, overwrite if asked.
