I've just changed the battery on my iphone, and now i noticed a small quirk. When i push hard on the center of the screen, it shows a black "wave", kinda what its like when you push on a monitor. It requires a lot of force though, and i mean a lot more than normal.

Also, i have a small silver pin/piece as a leftover from the iphone, although it functions fine without it.

Dont worry about it. If you dont normally push that hard, you wont have to worry about it happening under normal circumstances.

Don't push that hard on the screen then

Something like this happens on most displays when you push on them harder then you should be. If you push on it a little harder it might even crack for you.

Exactly. Most every display will behave this way when pressed really hard. Just use it normally and you should be fine. If not, take it to Apple. If not for a free replacement, then a $199 replacement.

Agreed, just don't do that and you should be fine.

Just don't push hard on the screen, it'll stop this form happening and save you from further damage.

Don't worry guys, i'm not that stupid:p

It's just i tested it before, and it didn't. Whatever no biggie. Now what could the leftover part do...

You never find out the use until after you've thrown away the extra part. Then the use becomes obvious and essential to the functioning of your iPhone. That's just how it works bro :D

It's worth a shot:cool:

It's a 3G, and isn't in warranty anymore.

Yes, i will be using it for another 2 years :p :apple::apple::apple::apple::apple:

(I would've upgraded, but Whited00r saved me)

I love WhiteD00r! I used it on my first generation iPod touch, and it really helped out my old device. I guess I won't be needing to upgrade that.

Did you know there a winterboard replacement .deb that doesn't slow down the device:cool:
