when I use iCloud link to share a 4k video shot on my iPhone, why does the recipient only see the video in 720p?

is there a way for them to see or download the original 4k video from that iCloud link?

The default for playing videos is ”most compatible”.

On iCloud select the photo/video that you want to download.
Hover over the download icon and click on the small drop down.

Select ”Unmodified Original” and download:
