Both this thread and this one: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/991522/ need to be merged. This is the same thing as the other "when Verizon gets iPhone" thread, only this one includes a poll. Clear enough? I don't appreciate unwanted bashing for "two similar threads." Again, this one includes a poll and I would like a moderator to merge both. Thank you. :)

I don't understand the "When Verizon get's the iPhone..."
I haven't seen any proof this is going to happen, just a ton of maybes. I agree I do think it will eventually go to Verizon, but there's no solid proof. The thread should be renamed "IF Verizon get's the iPhone..."

NO. I was a Verizon customer for 7 years working all over the region they are supposed to be the best - the NE and Mid-Atlantic US. I have just as good service with AT&T, in fact I have MANY areas I get better service with AT&T, and my phone ALWAYS rings. On Verizon, if you are roaming, the chance on your phone ringing is about 30%.

The idea that Verizon has tremendously better service is a myth, perpetuated by lots advertising dollars.

Oh, and let me also let you know that over those 7 years, I referred literally DOZENS of co-workers to Verizon, and was supposed to be compensated by a $50 credit to my account for each referral under a program they had running at the time. I never saw a DIME. So much for better service, too.

Wow. And I thought Verizon was so innocent...

Hehe! :D

Yep. Isn't the Droid 2 coming out tomorrow or something?

I miss the good old Waiting for Arrandale days..........:p
Yo tambien. Android is just too fast. ;)

Hate to burst your bubble of dreams, but Verizon is never getting the iPhone, nor do they even want the iPhone.
Pop! I hate to say this, but yours just popped as well. Where's your confirmation statement? Hmm... didn't think so.

Crazy isn’t it.

It’s about time for a new Droid thead.

I'm going to be saying "Told you so" in the near future. Have you read the latest from Gruber?

Never is a very, very long time...

Stating opinion as absolutes rarely seems to work out

Wish the poll wasn't so two sided... some of us are staying for multiple reasons. So the poll should have had other options:

- No problems with ATT and why switch?

- What give up my rollover minutes, are you crazy?

- Already on Verizon, so bring it on!

- Depends on the price of the Verizon plans

- What give up my unlimited data plan?

- What give up my rollover minutes and unlimited data?

I have no problems with ATT, here in Los Angeles, coverage is pretty good. I went on a trip to Las Vegas this weekend and did a few different 3G tests with my I4 and a friends Droid X. In LA I was hitting about 2meg down while he hit .75 meg down, and in Las Vegas I hit 4meg down and he was about 1.5meg down.

I guess in my areas ATT blows away VWZ in terms of speed.

What’s the point of this thread again?

I'm going to be saying "Told you so" in the near future. Have you read the latest from Gruber?

AT&T's moto "The Nation's Fastest 3G Network" lives up to it's name then.

+1

When I called to complain about the lack of signal in my building, AT&T gave me a free MicroCell and reduced my two-phone family minutes plan from 1,000 to 450 and gave me an additional 12,000 rollover minutes just in case I ever go over. Now I have over 15,000 rollover minutes and I'm saving over $30/month.
- What give up my unlimited data plan?
+1
- What give up my rollover minutes and unlimited data?
+another 1 for emphasis

I like this poll better :D

Staying with AT&T.
