When iOS 18 comes out?

I am running the beta on my iPhone and iPad. When iOS 18 is released will it install ota onto my devices? Or should I downgrade to iOS 17 first?

Yes that is correct.

Once you have the RC of iOS installed, you should be good. If there are any small changes on the final released version you can turn off the beta option in software updates and then download the final version of iOS 18 OTA.

The real question is if you leave betas turned on after RTM, do you get the iOS 18.1 beta or do you need to go back and select that branch? That is definitely a wait-and-see.

If you've installed the 18.1 beta, you have a longer wait.
