At work we have a guest network that I connect to so that I can listen to the radio and download podcasts. When you connect you agree to some T&Cs that stipulate that the network must not be used for recreational purposes.

What kind of info is shared when I connect and can they tell who is connected? I don't mind if they know the serial/phone number of the phone but I would be concerned if they knew my name/email etc.
