I guess the morning is a good time, but the afternoon could work as well... If you feel the need to have the latest and greatest, I guess just wait until it gets updated.

no

when will be the next upgrade after the june 9 wwdc thing

iPods are generally updated in September.

We are now in prime season for buying a Touch on eBay due to the Back-to-School sale Apple has going on right now. Many students will elect for a free Touch, only to flip it on eBay.

so right now is a good time to buy one
and the wwdc is only for the iphone and scuh

if i buy one off ebay will i have to pay the 20$ for the updates??

If you need a new iPod...then buy one!

If you don't need a new iPod....then you don't buy one!

Better advice you're not gonna get anywhere else I'm afraid!

Depends on the unit...you'd have to ask the seller if it has the JSU or not! iPod Touches bought after a certain time had the JSU installed as standard, so to speak.

Honestly, if you live and work around free Wi-FI they Touch is an invaluable piece of technology. Also, if you find yourself watching videos/video podcasts it is fantastic. I am getting every pennies worth of use out of mine. If you are sure you will use the thing, you will have no regrets about buying one right now.

The only thing at WWDC that would involve the ipod touch is the SDK and app store which you will be able to get late June hopefully for $20 maybe. I say buy one now unless you wanna wait until September/November. And like someone else stated above, due to the Back to School promotion there should be plenty of 8gb's on ebay and such.

My friend just bought a mbp and hes giving me the ipod touch as a bday present. Should I put out another 100 for the 16gb or 200 for the 32 gb? I'm debating cause I don't want to spend money then something new is gonna come out real soon ( if its more than 6 months then its fine with me)

Maybe it'll help if someone can tell me that 8gb is enough for their normal use of music, movies, etc...

you might as well wait untill wwdc to see if anything is actually released (probably not - but maybe)

if you are planing on buying a mac computer anytime soon and you have children or are somehow related to education, then get a free touch that way (usa offer is out now, in the UK you apparently need to wait until September which is very annoying)
