I purchased an unlocked iPhone 5S for my wife after her previous 4 took a dive in a cup of tea. That was in October last year. The network was Vodafone on a business contract through a 3rd party company. Now she has been told to get her own contract and she is able to move carrier to O2. However the phone became locked to Vodafone and now cannot use the phone with an O2 sim.

She has been waiting for a week already to get it unlocked but has noe been told it will possibly be the end of next week before it is done.

Its annoying that the phone was sold unlocked but when a sim is put in it gets locked to that network.

Not a very happy bunny.

That's odd. I don't know much about Vodaphone; do they operate off of GSM or CDMA? It may be unlocked but not sim-unlocked.
