Apple has been going after the social media "professionals" lately, first with the iPad "Pro", then with the MacBook "Pro" with build-in emoji bar.

So when is Apple going to release the iPhone "Pro"?

Unlikely. iPhone 8 is rumored for three sizes. (4.7,5.1,5.5). Complete redesign. Not sure what would make it "Pro."

They'll do it when sales start declining. Then they'll release a Pro model to attract new attention.

I personally think all these manufacturers are really abusing the term "Pro." It seems these past few years, that term has expanded and been used loosely to say the least. And this includes multiple electronic manufacturers, with Sony being the latest to jump on board.

LOL!!!!

You do realize that the MacBook Pro has been around since 2006 right? I mean, I'm even typing this post in on a 2006 17" MBP.

Just because Apple attaches the word "Pro" to a product doesn't mean they intend to make a "Pro" version of every product they make.

SMH!

I read an article lately calling the new MBPs a joke. The article refers to these Macs as simply a more expensive line for the average consumer. I tend to agree.

I'm a professional Graphic Designer and I use a MacPro at work every day. This new "touchbar" on the MBPs has absolutely no use to me. I'm putting out newspapers and ads daily, so I don't see how quick access to emojis is going to help with that.

All the word "Pro" does is give Apple the green light to charge an even larger Apple premium. If people are dumb enough to buy it, they're smart enough to build it.

Good news: happy emoji

Bad news: sad emoji

Story good with some unfortunate consequences to the resolution: confused emoji

See, you can replace several pages with a handful of emojis. :p:D:mad::(:confused:

They will release it when Tim Cook's accountant justifies him the $100 price rise with removal of a feature.

I always think of it as Sydney Morning Herald.
