I just upgraded to Sequoia 15.1.1 (M1 Max) & Siri is still dumb as a rock. Wasn't there supposed to be some kind of huge leap forward? Am I using/holding it wrong?

Technically it’s still in beta and even shows that in the settings but Apple sure does try and force it on you when setting up a new device.

I think next year is what Apple is aiming for. Either way it will probably suck so meh.

most AI hasn't reached siri yet.

I think some changes are coming in the _.2 releases coming in the next couple weeks

THey're doing a very very slow rollout on actual AI implementation. Their advertising department though is putting the pedal to the metal. Which I think is going to bite them in the rear, from everyone trying to do the things the've been seeing ads about for months, but won't be available for months.

This simple fact tells me that Apple intelligence has a long way to go: Suppose that you have a friend you want to text a message to, and her name is "Cathryn"; you manually select the right contact (Cathryn) from your list of contacts, tap the microphone, and speak the message as follows:

"Cathryn, I will be leaving soon. See you in 25 minutes or so." So now you are getting ready to tap, "SEND" and just then you notice that the name shown is not "Cathryn", but "Katherine or something similar.

I have no idea why the intelligent iPhone cannot make the connection between the contact that you have "manually deleted" already, to the one the microphone picks.
