When is the early upgrade subtracted from ATT account?

I ordered 1 from ATTs website and 1 from Apples and I was able to get the $200 off of each one. ATT says it will ship 7-14 days and Apples 7-10. I will cancel one in the next few days when we get a better idea of shipment time. Why did it let me have 2 early upgrades on the same line? Is this something that will kick in on which ever ships first causing the other to cancel etc?
