Hello, I just purchased the new Macbook. I leave my computer open so that I can recieve instant messages when my friends need to contact me, but I noticed that sometimes when I wake my computer, the Wi-fi cuts out. I'm not sure if the wireless cuts out the whole time it's sleeping, or just for a second when it wakes?
Does anyone know what I can do to change the settings? When I left my old Macbook open and it went to sleep, nothing happened to the wireless.

Putting the computer to sleep cuts off your wifi connection. If you want it on all the time, set it to not sleep and set the screen to shut off after a certain period of time.

wow.

Well that's cause when you left your MacBook open before, it never went to sleep... the screen just went to sleep.

run insomniaX before shutting your screen, it won't sleep your machine but it will keep it running normally, allowing everything to run normally.
