when new, iPhone 12 Pro Max 512gb was $300 more than the 128gb version...

when trading it in to buy the iPhone 13 Pro Max on Apple's website now, the extra $300 spent is worth $0? (trade-in value is $790 regardless of amount of storage?)

just wondering...

Always been that way.

so, if I order the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1TB of storage for $1599 now, it will be worth the same in trade-in value as the 128gb version($1099) when I trade it in for the iPhone 14 Pro Max 12 months from now? :( (simply put.... $500 down the drain?)

You got it. 👍🏻

Could be worse, Gazelle is currently showing that most you might get is $744. $435 for the 128GB.

As mentioned, can try to sell on your own, to try to maximize amount. With Apple, paying for the convenience.

so people who bought the 128gb version are actually getting extra money by trading it in directly with Apple? :) (since Apple currently give $790, regardless of storage capacity)
