i've read old ones scratch the side of the phone, i bought one at 4s launch and my phone is still in perfect condition...but i was gonna look online for apple branded ones to save money....any way to tell if it's the new vs old style? and how to tell if it's the apple brand? i prefer the apple brand because the fit, material/quality, seems to be spot on compared to cheaper ones i've seen.

i know many don't like bumpers but i wanted some sort of protection without anything huge, and still able to show of the phones aesthetics

like i found this for $10 and want it if it's legit

IF you want to guarantee you're getting legit apple gear go to the apple store. No guarantee with 2nd hand sellers.

A $30 item sold at apple store probably won't be sold for $10. If the price is to good to be true it probably is. For $10 take a chance.
