When XP crashes, it leaves stuff on the disk and when you run CHKDSK you find them.

Does the same happen with OSX?

My OSX just locked up while importing a movie in iMovie from a camcorder. And it locked up good! I had to hold the power button until it rebooted.

Grrr!

hei buddy, is your camcorder running windooze by any chance? i think it must be the reason. after all, osx is crash proof. don't you know?

Usually the Journalling in the Mac's HFS+ filesystem is pretty good at cleaning up after itself. But if you want to be sure, you can go into Applications -> Utilities -> Disk utility, Click on your Mac's hard drives as they appear in the left hand column of the Disk Utility window, and click the "Verify Disk" button. You'll want to avoid doing anything while it's running.

Macs work great with stuff Apple makes and controls. My camera is a Sony.

I need Apple to make iHDCam or something.
