When purchasing a cellular Apple Watch are there any differences/advantages in purchasing unlocked vs carrier-specific?

I'm on Verizon and probably for the foreseeable future but always good to have flexibility if there's no drawback of unlocked version.

afaik they are all unlocked, at least in U.S.
