I plan on getting an iPad 3rd generation (with retina display) not the iPad 4.

However, I was curious, what day do you think would be the best to take advantages of great deals for the iPad? Would I generally find a better deal on the iPad 3rd generation on Black Friday (November 23, 2012)? Or would I have better luck during the Christmas shopping season (around December 20th)?

Which retailers/websites, in your experience, are the best places to find great deals on iPads or similar Apple products?

i think your best bet will be to buy the iPad 3 at best buy on black friday.

check out the BF ad leak sites to see what the promos are on iPads

What is the Best Buy Black Friday price?

I have a refurbished 3rd gen. 32GB iPad that I ordered from the Apple Store for $469 plus tax. If it's not new, I cannot tell the difference. I told my sister about it and she did the same. It carries the same warranty as a new Apple.

I just checked online. The 16GB models have been out of stock since a few days after the iPad 4 announcement, but the 32GB and 64GB models are still available.
