Hi,

I'm planning on getting a 15" MBP, but I have a dilemma... I have the money right here to buy everything I need for this computer but I'm waiting on a few things:

1) I'm planning on buying a 120GB SSD from OWC with the data doubler but I heard that devices with the SandForce 2000 series controllers were coming out in Q1 of 2011. Should I wait for this update seeing that the new MBPs have SATA III ports in them?

2) I'm interested in getting a free iPod Touch (since I'm a student), I'm wondering when does the back to mac program usually start?

3) There's a thread about over-heating MBPs due to sloppy thermal paste jobs. Is this an issue that I should wait for to improve or no?

1. I would wait. Vertex 3 for example gives a lot more bang for your buck.

2. Depends on where you live but in US it usually starts in late May.

Thanks for the reply :)

Is there a rumored date for when OWC or OCZ would update their drives? I'm a little hesitant on buying from OCZ because of their 34nm to 25nm switch debacle.
