...you should reindex, right? But if you have done that according to support information (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201716) and the index does not seem to work, then what can you do?
The practical example is that I open my spotlight, type 'saf' for finding the Safari app, and it only shows me a hit in my address book with my friend whose last name is safstrom. (!)
