Just wondering if anyone has heard if there will be any discounts on the iPhone 4 and 4s after the new phone is out next month, like they discounted the iPad 2 when the 3 came out.

Thanks

Yeah I heard they are going to be dropped from planes with little apple coloured parachutes over all the major cities...

Real answer: no one knows, wait and see.

Since the iPhone 3GS is getting iOS 6, I imagine it'll still be sold, so maybe:

3GS - Free
4 8GB (or even 4GB?) - $49
4S 8GB - $99
new iPhone - $199

4S 8GB - $99

It will probably be structured similar to that, but personally, I'd like to see Apple kill the 3GS and iPhone4, and only sell the iPhone 4S as 16GB and iPhone 5 in 16, 32 and 64.

Starting with a new baseline as being the entry level standard, Apple can bring in a new era of iOS and app development with much more horsepower in the toolbox.

Apple won't keep 4 active iPhone generations in its lineup. That said, since 4 and 4S are so similar (with similar component costs), Apple may eliminate 4 instead.

My personal wish:

Free: 4 8GB
$99: 4S 16GB
$199: New 32GB
$299: New 64GB
$399: New 128GB
