When to buy a MacBook Pro?

I need to purchase a laptop for high school by January of 2012. I could get the Feb. 2011 MacBook Pro in August when school starts, but I think I'd rather wait and get the newer model that isn't out yet. I am hoping to get the next model around the holidays; however, do you think that the next generation of the MacBook Pro will come out prior to January of 2012? I don't exactly know what to do. Thanks!

I just purchased my pro on Monday, but only because I need it for college this fall. If you can wait, I definitely would, seeing as there is a lot of talk about a redesign

Depends if you like the existing pros, it sounds like the redesign will essentially eliminate the 13, and the new MBP's will be more like the Airs, thus, no ability to upgrade, and either more expensive or less storage space,
