When to get in the line at Apple store so that I will be the first 40

I'm ready to hop in the line. But I don't know what time I should get there. I don't have any experience in doing this. I don't want to be the first a few as I know I will have to be there like Thursday night.

But what time should I get there if I want to be among the first 40? Is 4AM or 5AM a safe bet?

Thanks for any suggestions! I want a black 32gb and a white 32gb.
 
Swing by tomorrow, at least one person will be in line. Give him 10 bucks to text you when the line gets to 20.

Every single Apple store in the world will have the exact same amount of people in line and the exact same amount of phones to sell. Be there at 6:27am.

Oh man, I'm so getting there at 6:26 AM so I can be ahead of everyone else!!

How do you expect us to know?? You provided no details at all...:apple:
 
I would suggest 2AM. For the 3GS Launch, I got there at 2:30 and I was second in line, (first with reservation).
Last year I got there at 2AM and I was about 400th in line.
This year will hopefully have less people picking them up since a lot of people got them online already.

OK. I'm in western mass, not a city. And it's a mall store. I don't know if there is anything else that is related?
