When Using Apple Cinema Displays...

Do you need to plug the display into a firewire and USB port in addition to the mini-DVI port on a MacBook or any other DVI equip Mac computer?

I am planning to buy one to go with my MacBook down the road and was just a little curious about this after watching a CNET video review. Any input is appreciated.

no, only if you want to take advantage of the ports on the ACD.
