iPod touch when using installer it says cant connect to host? WTF DOES THAT MEAN!?!?

okay.... i jailbroke my touch today and it worked brilliantly after reading about i on here and a few minutes on youtube watchin how. so i went a got a few apps that i was told to then started exploring.. now when i go to get an app it says, "can't connect to host" now what in the heck does that mean? and more importantly how do i fix it?

any help would be great!

You need a Wifi connection to download apps.

This happened to me after jailbreaking 1.1.4, as well. I don't know what to tell you other than I just kept trying it at random times, and finally I was able to do it. The interesting thing is that it was only certain repos that would do this...I'd be able to access others just fine. Who knows.
