I know it was sometime in September. I'm asking because I read somewhere it's good to wait about three months before buying any new technology.

You think something magic happens at precisely three months? It's been about three months now. Waiting an extra week or two isn't going to make any difference.

I know, but I wasn't sure if the iMac came out early Sept or late Sept.
 
I agree about waiting... I bought my G5 when I read less and less complaints about it, that was 6months after the release, never had any trouble with it ;)

Its just like cars, they put them in production, but never buy the first series ;) my brother used to design for Toyota, so he knows (and all car manufacturors are the same in this... with exeption of very expensive ones maybe because they don't make that big productions...)
