When watching multimedia, is there a quick easy way to disable the screensaver?

If I'm watching a movie/video etc, Is there a quick and easy way to disable the screen saver / the screen from reducing it's brightness / the system from going to sleep ? (and if so, how to re-enable them again?)

Caffeine is great for this.

I'm actually in need of this feature now. Installing this little program is completely safe, right? ; I'm going to follow their "Direct download" link...

Aside,

I'm also going to be running a Windows 7 virtual machine through Parallels. Running Caffeine's no dim / no sleep features should override any existing Windows 7 sleep / dim mechanisms?

For the Parallels thing, I would have thought so.
