It is now mid-August, meaning that Apple's annual iPhone event is just around the corner.

This year, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17, the all-new iPhone 17 Air, the iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Here are some of the key rumors for those devices:We are still waiting for Apple to announce the iPhone 17 event, which is rumored to take place on Tuesday, September 9. If that timing is accurate, then the most likely date for Apple to announce the event with one of its clever taglines would be Tuesday, August 26, as the company typically provides two weeks' notice.

Of course, these dates are not official yet.

Since 2020, iPhone event videos have been pre-recorded, but in recent years Apple has invited select reporters to the Steve Jobs Theater to watch the video in person. Afterwards, attendees receive hands-on time with the new devices.

The table below provides an overview of dates for the last six iPhone events, with 2020 and 2021 being outliers due to the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I miss the live presentations. The videos are humorous and slickly produced, but seeing the presentation live was to me more engaging. The presenters were in front of an actual audience who could respond in real time.

So 9, Sep 16... I don't really care.
It'll be exciting as I look to possibly upgrade my 13PM and maybe my Ultra 2, all depending on features announced

the form factor hurts my hands
Wait and see if the rumors are true that the 17 Pro has the same camera characteristics as the Max. I'm considering upgrading from the 15 Pro Max to the 17 Pro myself, just to get a longer optical zoom and larger megapixel sensor. The Pro Max is a bit big for my hand🍸😸, but I think any pain is coming from the mouse. It's always a cat and mouse game!🍸🙀

I completely agree, but my thoughts are that they probably can't make much of a show out of incremental updates

Hi there, IMHO: Get the 17 Pro Max, the battery life will be significantly better than downgrading to the Pro… Don’t let your mouse hurt your battery life of your iPhone. Perhaps try a trackpad? That’s what we use, and I can’t imagine going back to a mouse for many reasons, one which you mentioned… all the best to you. 🫶🏻

Idk...I used to love live presentations but after 4 years of current format, when I watch old presentations, they are kinda cringy.

Im kinda doubtful about those rumors tbh, I hardly see apple giving parity on pro and max for this very feature . But who knows

Current 16 Pro user. I am all in on the Air. I am totally the target demographic. Just hope the screen is technically close to the Pro models.
