We've had this issue for years and Apple seems incapable or unwilling to fix it. Safari, is left to run for even a few hours without killing and reloading, will get to the point that pressing "+" to open a new tab (which then displays all of your bookmarks/favorites) will show blank gray images for each site instead of the icon for that site like it normally would. Killing Safari and re-running it solves the issue. But why is it still an issue? It appears to be a memory leak of some sort which should have been caught during testing yet somehow has been here through many iPadOS updates, including major releases.

Safari frequently fails to load the entire page when I’m watching YouTube. The player window will load but nothing below it. Sometimes it freezes completely where I have to swipe to close Safari.

It doesn’t sound like the same problem you have but it’s buggy.

Hopefully it gets fixed before iPadOS 26 comes out of beta.

what hardware? never observed what you guys describe, but Safari e.g., stopping after a number of previews to load video previews on reddit pages is something which happens on my iPPs. Funny enough the DuckDuckGo browser or Orion do not show that symptomatic. 🤷‍♀️

I run the free tier of Adguard so….
