Curious as to what your collective thoughts are on when the Apple Watch will get 5G? I'm not interested in higher speeds, etc, but T Mo has been filling in their network dead spots where I live with 5G microcells rather than regular towers. These work great for my phone but don't help reception on the watch. Seems like 5G is still a ways off for the watch, due mainly to battery life issues, but I don't know anything about watch chips, antennas, etc, and who knows, maybe we're closer than I think.

when a) there is a need for higher speed data, b) equal/better battery life than previous modem used ... so, 4 years? 5 years?
