Am I right it send end of 2010,
and is the rumors plausible for Verizon phone Jan 1, 2011?
and is anyone else going to support iPhone?

TY

TONS of speculation, both in the media and elsewhere, but the reality is that no one who REALLY knows is posting it on these pages!:D
Anyone who tells you anything to the contrary is likely just speculating or making things up. If you do a search, you'll see plenty of threads on this exact subject dating back to the beginning of the iPhone.

Nobody knows when the exclusive agreement will end as it will be continually updated as the two companies update their contracts. The original agreement date (which is likely no longer in effect) was 5 years, or sometime before 2012.

It is plausible that the Verizon iPhone will make an appearance in January, but we'll have a better picture when things on the manufacturing side either start leaking or remain silent.

No one knows besides Apple and AT&T. When they are ready for the public to know they will make a statement. Until then everything is just speculation. Either way I am going to stay with AT&T. Verizon sucks in my area.

Do we really need another one of these threads.
Wait... what day is it? Tuesday? OK, I guess it's time for the daily Verizon iPhone thread.
And if Apple does put an iPhone on VZW, I'll be first in line to buy one.

Here we go again. At this point, I want iPhone to go to Verizon, so that you data hog people can get off AT&T network. I love AT&T service and they give me a good discount. Verizon has just little better network here in Maryland. I am not switching to Verizon ever.

It's not just the exclusivity agreement ending; Apple has to negotiate the terms with other carriers as well. Talks with Verizion (Who passed on the iPhone in the first place) have likely been going on since the 3G or earlier, they just need to get the terms down. Apple isn't going to let carriers do the same crap they do to every other phone on their networks.

While Verizon is proably a littl better in my area, Ive slowly gotten my initial $100 a month bill down to $70. Going to verizon would get rid of all that. Im happy staying with ATT and saving $30 a month.
