When will iphone 6 be announced?

I'm not up with these things.

Isn't there usually a big unveiling every year to showcase the new iphone? When does that normally happen and has a date been set for this year?

The big unveiling has been done in the month of September since the iPhone 5 (I think, since the 4 was a June announcement and the 4S was an October announcement)

It probably will be in September, although no date has been set in stone.

Rumors point to a September 19 release date (the 5S was available to order on September 20th of last year, and the 5 was available on the 21st, so the 19th makes sense) so it should be announced prior to that date if the rumors are in any way true.

The iPhone 5S was announced on September 10th and was released September 20th. The iPhone 5 was announced on September 12th and released the 21st of that month. There's a pattern.

Good answer and that should be the best to when an announcement will be made. They have hired 1000s of extra workers and expensive robots to step up production so an early announcement should be coming sometime I would say in Sept.
