When will it hit the stores?

Assuming they announce 3G on the 9th
Assuming there is proper inventory
Assuming best case scenario and all the moons, stars, and traffic lights are perfect.

When will the AT&T store down the street, apple.com, ATT.com have them available for purchase?
Do they announce on the 9th and it takes 2-3 days before they're in stock (again assuming proper inventory).

I have AT&T now and want to switch to a 3G iPhone. When do I start hanging out at the store?
 
the earliest i would think is Friday the 13th. Realistically I think it will be the week or second after the announcement. this coincides with the AT&T Time off policy. like the 18th or 25th IMO. just my $.02
 
I have been without a cell phone and my ipod touch for awhile in anticipation for the 3g iPhone so I am really hoping it will be available monday but NODODY KNOWS. Let's hope for the best though.
 
June 9th at 6:30PM, duh haven you read the 3G iPhone pre-release information packet on the apple website :confused:
 
AT&T store employees are unable to take vacations from June 15 to July 12 due to some big product launch and expected huge numbers of customers. So, I would expect the 3G iPhone launch to fall within that date range. But you never know.
 
For the sake of my sanity, the next day, June 10th! If not I will cry.
 
My guess is Monday 6/16. Right after payday! :) I don't think they will wait too long becasue the announcement of this new version would likely stall sales of any remaining v1 iPhones. Given that, I can't see Apple not selling iPhones for 2-3 weeks and waiting the 29th. JMO

My guess is the new iPhone will be available on July 1st. Apple likes to release things on Tuesdays, that's right in middle of the vacation freeze for store employees, and it's 3 weeks after the June 9th announcement... Mark my words.
 
The first iPhone release last year was on a Friday night, so I'm going with Friday, June 20th at 6pm for this one.

No offense, but why the h3ll would they deprive their employees' vacation days for 2 weeks before the launch?
 
Definitely June 16th, Monday. Why ask people to not go on vacation on June 15th if the iPhone rush is before then? or after then?
Also, yes, it's right after payday for the vast majority of americans :D
