I looked and only saw refurbished first gen iPads. Unless I completely missed it, when do you think the refurbished models of the iPad 2 will show up at the online Apple store?

Probably see them in September or October, if experience with the ipad1 is any indicator. Even then you only saved $50 off list price.
If you are subject to sales tax in your location, compare buying a new one now from a mailorder place out of state with free shipping against the cost of waiting two or three months, saving $50 off list but paying tax on the remainder.
For a $10-20 difference, to me it wouldn't seem worth waiting.
